One of the best ways to stay mentally healthy, fit, strong, and active at work is to believe in yourself, never take anything personally, and learn to detach yourself from people, especially toxic ones. Don’t always put into mind what people say to you. Learn to see some stupid opinions as trash and quickly erase them from your mind. Letting people make you feel less of yourself isn’t worth it.
How I Overcame Mental Distress at Work
I never thought I would be able to overcome the mental distress that consumed me at work. Every day, I walked into the office with a heavy heart, dreading the interactions with my co-workers. They were sly and manipulative, and always had a way of making me feel small.
Sometimes I wonder why some people who claim to be well-educated can be very senseless. There is no single day that passes by that they wouldn’t find something to hurt me. Initially, I was feeling emotional and taking everything to my heart. I was wondering what sort of people they were. I was losing my mind.
One thing I told myself amid adversaries is that this world is full of people from different backgrounds with various characters. Some people leave home for work with different kinds of frustrations. When they come to work, they pour out their frustrations on everyone that comes their way. Some workers may be frustrated at work due to the career path they choose. When you make the wrong career choice, then frustrations become inevitable.
But one day, I decided enough was enough. I couldn’t let them control my emotions and thoughts any longer. I started standing up for myself, speaking my mind, and not letting their snide comments affect me. It wasn’t easy, and I faced countless challenges.
I had to detach myself from the unworthy people around me. I developed the habit of interacting less with them. This helped me to retain my peace. I always try to see good things around me and never let people’s actions negatively affect me. I tried as much as possible to avoid negative thoughts about myself and my surroundings.
I used “Silence” as a means to help me keep my mental health intact. I disengaged many people. I don’t talk too much, neither do I think about anything. This alone helped me regenerate myself.
With determination and self-belief, I slowly gained the respect of my colleagues. I even earned a promotion, which I never thought was possible. As I sit in my new corner office, I can’t help but reflect on my journey. I proved to myself and my adversaries that I am stronger than I ever thought was possible. Now, I am ready to face any challenge that comes my way

Life Experience: How I Stay mentally Healthy Everyday
I wake up very early in the morning by 6 AM to do some physical exercise because my physical health is as important as my mental health
Running has become my therapy, allowing me to clear my mind and focus on the present. As I finish my run, I head to the gym. Lifting weights not only keeps me physically fit but also helps me release any pent-up stress and tension. I make sure to push myself with each rep, knowing that the harder I work, the stronger I will become, both physically and mentally.
After my workout, I head home to meditate. This has become an important part of my daily routine. I find a quiet spot in my backyard, close my eyes, and focus on my breath. As I let go of any negative thoughts and emotions, I feel a sense of peace wash over me.
This moment of stillness and mindfulness helps me stay centered and grounded throughout the day. But staying mentally healthy isn’t just about physical exercise and meditation. It’s also about nourishing my mind with positive thoughts and beliefs. I make it a habit to read motivational books and listen to uplifting podcasts.
These sources of inspiration keep me motivated and give me the strength to tackle any challenges that come my way. Of course, staying mentally healthy also means taking care of my relationships. I make time for my loved ones, whether it’s having dinner with my family or catching up with friends.
Their support and love are essential for my well-being, and I am grateful for their presence in my life. But my mental strength is truly put to the test when I face my biggest adversary – my inner critic. It is a constant battle to silence the negative voice inside my head, but I have learned to recognize it and replace it with positive affirmations.
I remind myself that I am capable, strong, and worthy of happiness. As the day comes to an end, I reflect on how I have kept my mental health in check. It’s not always easy, and there are days when I struggle, but I know that I have the tools and support to overcome any obstacles.
That is the true story of how I stay mentally healthy every day – by prioritizing self-care, nourishing my mind, and facing my inner demons with strength and determination.
